Deep Black of the Stoker, or 10 Photographs from the Sailor's Trunk
For the first time, we will put into the hands of our guests on board the "Lemara" a set of photographs belonging to a crew member of the tugboat "Gdańsk," which sailed under the flag of Lloyd Bydgoski during the interwar period. An anonymous amateur photographer captured the highlights and shadows of the sailor's life - visits to ports, proud poses, jokes, not overshadowing the visible signs of fatigue. The grimy stoker looks almost like a bronze statue of a "man of hard labor."
