We invite you to take part in photography workshops aimed at taking a picture with one of the oldest photography techniques. The workshop is dedicated to young people. Chromate rubber is characterized by a beautiful vividness of the image, a large tonal range, freedom in choosing the color and saturation, the ability to freely interfere with the image. Well-made rubbers seem to be closer to painting than to photography. During the workshops, participants will prepare the mixture on their own, cover the paper with it, light it, and finally develop and fix it. The rubber technique is very capricious, so participation in the workshop will allow you to capture many practical nuances, which Jarek Majewski will share with the participants.

Workshop Info: Chromate gum is characterized by beautiful image plasticity, a large tonal range, freedom in the choice of hue and saturation, the ability to freely interfere with the image. Well-made rubbers are seemingly closer to painting than photography. During the workshop, participants will prepare the concoction themselves, cover the paper with it, expose it, and finally develop and fix it. The technique of rubber is very capricious, so attending the workshop will allow you to grasp many practical nuances, which Jarek Majewski will share with the participants.

Jaroslaw Majewski (born 1971, Poland) - photographer, portraitist. He photographs with a vintage large-format camera of Alfred Bruckner's design. The lens is a timeless triplet - a Zeiss Tessar. This optical design is also used successfully in modern digital cameras. However, it does not use a scanner, and captures the image on silver film, usually sensitized orthochromatic. Through this, portraits gain clarity and rawness, which is invaluable if the intention is to emphasize the character of the portrayed people.
