Belgian 75-year-old Harry Gruyaert is one of the most interesting contemporary photographers, a member of the Magnum Photos agency. In his work he gives everyday life status of beauty and colour is his strongest means of expression.
The film shows not only the story of the artist with a restless soul who never stops looking for images, driven by the desire to travel and depict the changes taking place in society. It is also a portrait of a difficult relationship between a son and his father, which played a significant role in shaping Harry Gruyaert’s attitudes and interests.
