Ragnar Ólafsson

Ragnar Ólafsson [vocalist, songwriter] is a versatile musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Iceland. He is a founding member of several bands with whom he has released several albums. He played in these bands a wide variety of genres — from jazz, through opera, folk, pop, rock to metal. The most known of his groups is Árstíðir, with which he released four studio albums (two reached the top of the list of the most popular records in Iceland) and toured in over 30 countries. The artist also wrote music for several films.

In 2016, Ragnar Ólafsson started a solo project under his own name, showing the next page of his work. This time it’s calm, moody playing in the convention of singer-songwriter, folk, alt-country.

Ragnar Ólafsson will fly to Poland for a short tour. He will perform with the great violinist David Ra-Champari. They will promote Ragnar’s debut album “Urges”, which already collects first very positive reviews in the music press.
