The International Photography Festivals Association (IPFA) brings together more than 1,000 photography festivalsfrom across the globe, providing a unique platform for knowledge exchange, professional networking, and the development of international partnerships and collaborative projects.
One of the highlights of the programme was the panel discussion "How to Organise Photography Festivals in Different Contexts", to which Dr Katarzyna Gębarowska was invited as a speaker. During the session, she shared the experience of organising Vintage Photo Festival, discussing strategies for developing an international analogue photography festival and building sustainable collaborations across cultural institutions and festival networks.
The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity to establish new professional relationships with festival directors, curators, and representatives of cultural institutions from around the world. Strengthening these international connections is an important part of Vintage Photo Festival's long-term strategy to expand opportunities for Polish artists and to increase the visibility of Polish photographic initiatives within the international cultural landscape.
