This project is a philosophical presentation of the processes that happen in every human being throughout life. This is what I call "recycling". I illustrate the changes through nature and portraits in extraordinary colours. I decided to use photographs and ready-made exhibition works, which for various reasons were never to be used by me again. In this way, I process creations from previous years, I use ready-made materials, and I literally "recycle" my work. All photographs were taken by analogue cameras, on small and medium-sized negatives. In my research, I used colour as a new tool in my artistic language. I manually dye all black and white photos with the use of watercolours. Some photos taken on colour negatives are subjected to digital tint manipulation in order to obtain, in a manual process, a supernatural, dreamlike and poetic effect. My motives for creating this project are mainly socioemotional. I have always seen photography as a way to communicate with others. For years, I have treated art as a record of my own experiences and changes taking place within myself. I write down my thoughts and create photos based on my own story. The project is complemented by musical "recycling" of romantic songs. The harmonic language of Fryderyk Chopin and Mieczysław Karłowicz is subject to my interpretation. When selecting the songs, I was guided by the emotions that the verbal and musical tests evoked in me. The poems by Stefan Witwicki and Józef Waśniewski from selected works can be found in photographs. Those lyrics are the augmentations and the verbal layers of this "recycling" of the personality, body and soul of man.

Joanna Skowrońska - photographer, singer, educator, MA in Conducting Vocal and Vocal-Instrumental Ensembles. She also studied Music Theory. She graduated with honours from the Bydgoszcz Academy of Photography Master in the studio of Creative Photography and Techniques of the 19th century. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (2014) and the Mayor of Bydgoszcz City (2019). Her works have been published in the Eye-Photo Magazine (August 2019) and in the lo-fi photography album "Five minutes away" (April 2013). “Relations” - a series of double exposures were presented at individual exhibitions in Bydgoszcz (March 2019) and Poznań (July 2019). Her main sources of inspiration are analogue photography, nature and humanity. In black and white photographs, she focuses on nature and a man with his emotions and state of mind. She turns towards nature, which in her opinion should be an inseparable part of every human existence. She also uses watercolours, thanks to which she gives her works a poetic and fairy-tale character. Vocally, she combines interpretations of old songs with analogue sounds of instruments and black and white animations. She conducts music workshops in the field of ear training, music theory and singing. Currently, she is working on a series of portraits of nature with the use of digital and manual colouring, as well as animations illustrating Fryderyk Chopin's songs in her arrangements.
