Vain is a series of photographs that talk about Alzheimer disease. Pictures show in a symbolic way how the disease affects human body and self perception and the environment. The series also touches issues of memory, time lapse and family. The inspiration for the creation of photographs was author's grandmother, who has been struggling with the disease for many years. Photographs were made in the wet collodion technique.
Paulina Ząbek born 1997 in Cracow. Graduated from Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design. Participated in many photography workshops and collective exhibitions . Inderested in old techniques of photography.
